Can I claim my appointment?

You can claim your appointments if you have the following:

  • Private Health Insurance with osteopathy cover – bring your private health insurance card and we can process your claim on the spot. You will need to pay the gap amount on the day.
  • EPC or CDM plans – Please note, we do NOT BULK BILL. You will need to pay for your appointment in full on the day.  To claim your medicare rebate, once your appointment is paid, we can either provide you with a receipt to send to Medicare and Medicare will reimburse you $52.95 (making your overall out of pocket expense $37.05 for an initial and $27.05 for a subsequent consultation) or we can process the rebate electronically using our HICAPS machine at the time of your appointment;  you pay for your consultation by Eftpos or Credit card, we swipe your Medicare card and enter details of your EPC referral, we swipe your bank ATM card for reimbursement and Medicare reimburses your rebate of $52.95 into your cheque or savings account within 24 hours.
  • Veteran’s affairs (DVA) – patients need bring their referral letter from their GP (DVA White Card holders will also need to bring their pre-approval from DVA before their consultation). You do not need to pay anything upfront. We will process their claim for treatments ourselves.
  • TAC and Workcover – as of 1 November 2016 our Practitioners will no longer be seeing new patients claiming on Workcover or TAC.  Existing patients are required to make payment for treatment up front on the day, and a receipt will be issued for you to claim a rebate through your workplace or Workcover/TAC insurance company.
